Three to four hours away from Singapore by coach, Malacca’s history as a port town that has been under Portuguese, Dutch and British rule has given it a unique legacy – its landscape. Walk around the enchanting city centre and visit the various museums, mosques, churches and temples dotting Malacca. Don’t miss the Jonker Street area, where cafes, restaurants and hotels have been springing up.
