As the sun goes down and the sky turns black, there is no end to the fun which is just beginning as the moonlight shines upon the ground revealing more fun and another side of Singapore.

There are many hip and trendy clubs, classy chic bars, thumping discos, pubs that play slow rock and upscale lounges that can bring out the party animal in you. The usual hotspot areas for these are commonly found along Clarke Quay, Boat Quay, Mohd Sultan Road and the latest happening place Dempsey road.

Ask any serious clubber which club is still the best in town and chances are they will tell you it’s Zouk. A veritable institution, Zouk is considered one of the best clubs in the world. With cutting-edge electronic music and throngs of beautiful people, it is the place where you want to be seen at.

On any given Friday or Saturday night, you will find Clarke Quay to be literally packed with crowds of young clubbers. The main attraction there is Ministry of Sound which draws a loyal following every week. Besides that, Clarke Quay has a few other smaller but equally popular clubs. If you are into live blues rock music, check out Crazy Elephant.

Just a short walk away will be Boat Quay. Here, things are more scaled down where pubs and restaurants cater to the al fresco dining crowd. Some popular bars are Harry’s Bar, where you can catch some live jazz and Molly Malone’s, an Irish pub.  

Possibly the largest entertainment complex in Singapore, the 70,000 sq ft St James Power Station has nine outlets that offer music ranging from World Music to Mandarin Pop. Just a stone’s throw away from Vivocity, St James Power Station has been drawing steady crowds to the Harbourfront area every weekend.

If you are looking to have a few drinks in Orchard Road, you will want to drop in on the Peranakan Place Complex/ Emerald Hill area. Some popular bars there are Ice Cold Beer, No. 5 and Alley Bar.  The other bar scene in Orchard Road is in Orchard Towers.

An area that is fast gaining popularity as a ‘chill-out’ spot is Dempsey Road. Previously a cluster of army barracks, Dempsey Road is now considered a wine-lover’s haunt. Home to several furniture and antique shops, the atmosphere is decidedly relaxed and lush with greenery.

If partying isn’t your cup of tea but retail therapy is, head on down to Singapore’s one and only 24 hour shopping center, Mustafa Center located along Little India. There is a wide range of products ranging from electronics to jewelries to clothing to food to almost anything that you can think of they have it! Besides that, the Orchard Road shopping belt area offers late night shopping till 11pm on every Saturdays. If you want to shop for something more traditional, head on down to Chinatown night market where they have handmade items like paper umbrellas, street opera masks, handmade ornaments and traditional clothing.

For those who like to take sight seeing tours, they are too available such as the hippo tour which offers a fantastic view of the Singapore night scene on an opened-air double decked bus that travels along Singapore’s most scenic city views. Those who prefer to do some walking can also take a stroll along the Esplanade which is by the bay area which oversees the skyline of Singapore and you could also drop into any arts events held at the Theatre at Esplanade. You could also drop by at the Asian civilizations museum to the Singapore National museum to learn more about the country’s distinctive history or arts at the arts museum. If walking seems to be tiring, you could take a bum boat route which travel along the Singapore river which is more relaxing and a guaranteed feast for your eyes the river runs along Singapore’s spectacular skyline, nightspots and the majestic Fullerton Hotel which was once a fort in the olden Singapore.

After all these activities, lots of precious energy would be burned up which means food. Simply head on down to any 24hours coffeehouse around the island which are plenty to choose from to satisfy the hunger in you and to savor the delicious local delicacy. One popular place to visit will be the Lau Pa Sat market at the heart of the civic district which offers a local food such as satay (Grilled chicken/beef/mutton meat on a stick) dipped in wonderful spicy peanut sauce.

With so much things to be done, one night out is definitely not enough!
