MICE Venues

The island-state has been ranked among the world’s top cities for meetings by the Union of International Associations (UIA) International’s Meetings Statistics Report 2011. For 25 consecutive years, it has been voted as the top convention city in Asia.

The MICE industry, which rakes in several billion dollars in tourism receipts for Singapore, is expected to reach S$10.5 billion by 2015.

For easy reference, Visitors.sg has compiled Singapore’s top MICE venues:

Singapore EXPO

Singapore EXPO covers 123,000m2 of indoor and outdoor space comprising exhibition and conference halls, meeting rooms, mobile V-Rooms and The MAX Pavilion. Singapore EXPO is located just five minutes away from Changi Airport and 15 minutes from the city centre by car. You can also reach Singapore Expo via bus or MRT.

This MICE venue welcomes six million visitors and over 600 events annually, which range from exhibitions, corporate meetings, conventions, award ceremonies, gala banquets to consumer shows. It has 19 function rooms with a seating capacity of: 3,500 to 8,000 for the Convention/Exhibition Hall;  6,500 for the MAX Pavilion; 130 to 1,000 for Conference Halls A to F; and 220 for  Conference Halls G, H, J & K. Their amenities include extensive 3.5G mobile coverage, WIFI access, a business centre, Internet kiosks, automated teller machines (ATMs), nursing rooms, prayer rooms, energy-saving building automation systems and an array of food choices.

Sands Expo and Convention Centre

Voted Best MICE Hotel in Asia for 2011 and 2012 by CEI Asia, Sands Expo and Convention Centre also currently has the largest ballroom in South East Asia. The ballroom is able to accommodate up to 6,600 banquet diners or 11,000 delegates, while its flexible space also enables set-up of up to 2,000 exhibition booths and 250 meeting rooms. Raffles City Convention Centre

Raffles City Convention Centre is strategically located near Raffles Hotel, Raffles City shopping mall, Fairmont Singapore and Swissôtel The Stamford Hotels. It is well situated in the heart of the central financial, cultural, shopping and entertainment locations in Singapore.

Raffles City Convention Centre offers more than 70,000 square feet of flexible meeting space, with 27 meeting rooms. The rooms can accommodate dinners for 10 to 1,900 people; receptions for up to 2,800 people; and conferences for up to 3,200 people. They also have wireless high-speed broadband Internet access is throughout the convention centre and closed-circuit television systems connecting the meeting rooms. Raffles City Convention Centre’s conference facilities are fully equipped with presentation and projection equipment, video and audio equipment, teleconferencing systems, and other communications equipment.
